Building a Movable Alphabet

Movable Alphabet-I was finally able to make time to write this instructions in English.  Hope it is of benefit!In the Montessori environment the Movable Alphabet is used to expose the child to Reading and writing.  It is a fun way to read and write, without the need of using paper.  This work is great for children in Kindergarten and/or children who are beginning to manipulate sounds as they “write” words.     Materials:

• printer

• laminating machine

• laminating sheets

2.     Print the movable alphabet.  You can purchase it at a reasonable price at @Montessoriparati.com   3.  Cut carefully through the lines and put each letter in their corresponding compartment.  (I like to organize it in alphabetical order).  Show the child how to carry the box properly; this will prevent letters from mixing.  (Box should be carried with two hands on each side) 
 
 
 
 

Building a movable alphabet is very easy.  You just need to follow the instructions below:1.     Buy a plastic box with small compartments.  I bought mine at a craft store, but you can also find it in department stores such as Wal-mart.

When children are beginning to write they do it phonetically.  I personally leave grammar lessons for later on, so they do not get easy frustrated or shy during writing.  

Construyendo un Alfabeto Móvil

En Montessori el alfabeto móvil se utiliza para exponer al niño a la lectoescritura.  Es una manera divertida de leer y escribir, sin la necesidad del papel y lápiz.  Este es un trabajo es un éxito a nivel de Kinder y/o con los niños que están comenzando a leer y escribir. 

El alfabeto es divertido y el niño disfruta de manipular las letras (sonidos) al "escribir" palabras.   

Los materiales son los necesarios:

 

• impresora (printer)
• laminadora (laminating machine)
• hojas para laminar (laminating sheets)

Construir un alfabeto móvil es muy sencillo.  Solo sigue las instrucciones a continuación:

1.     Comprar una cajita plastica con compartimientos.  Yo compré la mía en una tienda de manualidades, pero también se pueden conseguir en las tiendas por departamentos. 

2. Imprimir alfabeto móvil.  Lo puedes comprar a un costo muy razonable @Montessoriparati.com.

 3.  Recortar cuidadosamente por las líneas y luego colocar cada letra por orden alfabético en la cajita. Yo recomendaría usar 2 cajas.  

Por razones de ahorrar tiempo yo solamente utilice una (para ahorrar espacio puse las vocales con acentos debajo de cada vocal sencilla).  Para evitar que las letras se mezclen,   ensénele al niño como agarrar la caja correctamente por los lados.

Cuando los niños están comenzando a escribir lo hacen fonéticamente, yo personalmente dejo la lección de gramática para más tarde para que hace no se sientan tímidos al escribir.  La meta del trabajo es que ellos exploren con el lenguaje.  Más adelante, recibirán lecciones sobre el “cómo y el por qué” de la escritura de las palabras.
